(a) Matrix multiplication gives D2=0110000110012100. (b) The row sums of D are (2,2,1,1) and those of D2 are (3,2,1,2). Adding gives scores A:5, B:4, C:2, D:3. The ranking is A,B,D,C. Determines all four scores.
